Terms & Conditions
Last updated: June 2026
Acceptance of terms
By creating an account or using Celcom Africa's services, you agree to these terms. If you use the services on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation.
Services
Celcom provides application-to-person messaging services including bulk SMS, WhatsApp Business API, USSD, email and airtime distribution, subject to availability and regulatory approval in each market.
Acceptable use
You must only send messages to recipients who have consented to receive them, honour opt-outs, and never send unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive or abusive content. Accounts engaged in spam or fraud will be suspended.
Regulatory compliance
You are responsible for complying with messaging regulations in the destination countries, including sender ID registration, DND rules and content restrictions. Celcom provides tooling and guidance to help you comply.
Billing & credits
Services are prepaid unless otherwise agreed. Credits are non-transferable. Pricing per destination is published in your account and may change with notice.
Service levels
We target 99.99% platform availability. Delivery of individual messages depends on mobile network operators and is reported via delivery receipts where supported.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Celcom's aggregate liability is limited to fees paid in the preceding three months. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
Termination
Either party may terminate with notice. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms or applicable law. Unused credits on terminated accounts are handled per your service agreement.
